CEREMONY: WINTER SOLSTICE

  • Wellspring 88 1612 South Catalina Avenue Redondo Beach, CA, 90277 United States (map)

Winter Solstice Ceremony: Gong Bath

Facilitators: Farnaz N. Reneker

The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year – a sacred still point in the turning of the seasons when the sun seems to pause before beginning its return. Honored across cultures as a time of renewal and rebirth, the Solstice marks the moment when darkness reaches its peak and light is born anew. It is an invitation to journey inward, to rest in the fertile quiet of the void, and to tend the spark of possibility that will grow with the lengthening days ahead. As the Earth shifts, we too are called to release what has been, honor the wisdom gained, and align ourselves with the cycles of nature’s unfolding.

Ceremony offers us a bridge from the ordinary to the sacred – a space to honor transitions, deepen into presence, and open to the mystery. Within this intentional container, we gather as a community to reflect, set conscious intentions, and invite transformation. Through ritual, we attune to the rhythm of the Earth and the rhythm of our own becoming.

The journey culminates in a Gong Bath, a vibrational sound immersion designed to support deep release and renewal. The resonant tones of the gong ripple through the body and nervous system, dissolving tension, clearing stagnant energy, and inviting the mind into expansive states of stillness and awareness. In this receptive space, we become attuned to the subtle frequencies of the returning light and awaken our own inner radiance.

Come prepared to enter this threshold with presence and intention. Together, we will honor the darkness as sacred ground for new beginnings and welcome the light’s return – creating a powerful energetic foundation for the cycle ahead.
